 We
are very aware of the importance music plays on your special
day or event. Most importantly, Crossroads is committed to ensuring your
wedding reception, function or party is exactly the way you want it. Along with our
normal dance set, we encourage you to tell us what genre of
music would best suit your crowd (country, pop, rock n roll), etc.
As we have been doing weddings and functions for over 20 years, experience has taught
what works for mixed crowds and a glance at our
dance set list will show you that we do a
little bit of everything, but we will vary the program to suit your
needs.
One of the things we do for every wedding is
play whatever first dance you want, and if we don't know it, we will
learn it. We have done everything from Nat King Cole to U2 to
Genesis to Aerosmith in the past twelve months and we will do whatever song you
request, you're not tied to any list with Crossroads, but in case
you need help, here is a list of suggested first
dance songs.
Liam and Gerry form the core of Crossroads, and
to date, anyone that has heard the band, has booked us as a two
piece for their wedding or function. This is for two main reasons: 1) We sound
the same as a four or five piece as our equipment (see below) is the
same as any five piece would have and 2) It saves you money in these
tight economic times, without sacrificing quality.
However, if you heart is set on a four or five
piece band, we also include members who are added when needed for
weddings and larger corporate events. The sound of the band remains
very much the same as the live musicians replace the bass, drums and
keyboard midi tracks. All the musicians involved with the band have
been playing professionally for at least twenty years and have a
wide range of experience doing weddings, parties and corporate
events.
In
addition to providing the best in dance music specially selected for
weddings and functions, we also include hits from the 50's, old time waltzes,
country jiving sets and line dancing.
 We are here to help you in any way we can
musically for the entire wedding day and can provide a two piece
soft acoustic duo for your entrance reception, a full dance band for the main dance and a top flight DJ who will play all the
hits of today and yesterday into the wee hours.
One of the major advantages of using our DJ
service is that there is no hassle as
a DJ tries to set up while the band is playing, and no band trying
to take down gear while your dancing to the DJ! Most importantly, it is a cost
effective alternative for you as there is no need to pay for two
sets of equipment to be put up and taken down.

There are a lot of different bands available to
entertainment your guests on your wedding day and although we can't
guarantee we are the best wedding band in Ireland, we can guarantee
that we are the most conscientious and we will ensure that the
musical part of your day will go off without a hitch, leaving you
one less thing to worry about.
